Throughout late 2000s and early 2010s a collective of artisans, musicians, and hipsters from the East Row of Newport began meeting every Tuesday in Wes Pence’s (Middlemarch, The Ready Stance, Red Skylark) basement to bring the songs of Bill Kreutzjans Jr. to life. This collective became known as “Love Sausage” and would eventually become the roots of Smokin’ Zeus.

Smokin’ Zeus is an avenue to take creative risks, explore new musical territory and genres, but most of all - create songs that make people comfortable drinking whiskey straight out of a bottle.

Bill Kreutzjans Jr., Lead Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar - Smokin’ Zeus is Bill’s first formal project. Bill is the creative force behind the band and the primary songwriter.

Ashley Shepherd, Lead Guitarist, Backing Vocals - A graduate of the Berklee School of Music, Ashley is an accomplished musician, producer, and sound engineer. Ashley has been a part of many successful projects including Circus of the Sun, The Soul Pushers, and plays frequently with several other artists around the area.

Greg Greene, Bassist, Backing Vocals - A self-taught bassist, Greg was an original member of local jam band Fairbanks 142 and has been playing around the Greater Cincinnati Area for years.

Aaron Williams, Drums, Backing Vocals - A native of Texas and former marching drummer, Aaron Williams is a chiseled veteran of several rock bands in the Greater Cincinnati and his home of Fort Worth.
